Teri Koch, MLS, MBA, is the Head of Collection Development and Professor of Librarianship at Drake University’s Cowles Library in Des Moines, Iowa. Teri oversees collection development activities and policies, the library liaison program, and collection assessment. Teri is active at the University-level, serving on the Faculty Senate, the University Budget Committee, and the Academic Chairs Committee. She was the co-founder of the Central Iowa Collaborative Collections Initiative, a shared print & collaborative collection development initiative. She has presented and published on areas related to this collaborative, as well as on data-driven acquisitions. In recent years, she has focused on promoting and adoption of textbook alternatives, including OER, at Drake. She was a 2019-2020 SPARC Open Education Leadership fellow.
