At times, even the most creative among us can become stymied and fall into a rut, relying on the same promotional techniques for all library offerings. Considering other public libraries’ successful promotions, along with their underlying marketing principles, can help infuse new life in stale routines. This article presents ten guidelines for effective promotion, illustrated by real library practices.
